Science Day
Tuesday 25th June was our whole school science day event.
Pupils had lots of fun throughout the day, taking part in activities in their classrooms and around school. Pupils enjoyed going on a sensory hunt! Tactile boxes and scent tubs were placed in different locations and our children explored putting their hands into mystery boxes to feel a range of materials. Some children indicated which material they thought was inside, using a sticker dot on the matching symbol. The scent tubs were also lots of fun and everyone had different reactions to the range of scents, including yummy vanilla and not so yummy pepper!
Each class had their own slot in our outdoor learning garden during the day to take part in some gardening! The children also took part in at least two science activities in their class groups, which were fun and exciting! We look forward to sharing pictures with parents on Evidence for Learning.
